The Importance of Hiring a Licensed Tree Expert
The New Jersey Society of Licensed Tree Experts encourages hiring professionals who have earned the qualifications of a Licensed Tree Expert (LTE).
A Licensed Tree Expert is a person who has completed an exam and proven themselves an expert in the science of diagnosing, treating, and preventing tree injuries. The certification is a document that ensures the public that the person taking care of their trees is qualified and worthy of being known as a “Licensed Tree Expert.”
Licensed Tree Experts have the abilities, expertise, and knowledge to perform tree care safely and efficiently in New Jersey. A Licensed Tree Expert can provide more comprehensive care for your trees, as they understand long-term management techniques and the science of tree care. Recommendations and work from LTEs will lead to better health of your trees.
The LTE exam is usually held at Cook College during July and comprises two parts: a written section and a field section. The written section is given indoors with a time allocation of three (3) hours. The field section is conducted outside and also takes approximately three (3) hours.
