Building the Future of Arboriculture, One Expert at a Time
The New Jersey Society of Licensed Tree Experts was founded in 1941 following the passage of the Certified Tree Expert Bill in 1940. Over the past 80+ years, we’ve been proud to support countless Licensed Tree Experts (LTEs) throughout New Jersey, helping to advance the field of arboriculture and elevate the standards of tree care. Through our commitment to education, public awareness, and community service, we ensure that LTEs have the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.
Benefits of Joining Our Society
We support New Jersey LTEs in two primary ways. The first is our training sessions, which we host a few times a year. We cover various aspects of New Jersey tree care during these training sessions. They benefit individuals planning to take the LTE exam, those who need to brush up on the finer points of tree care, and LTEs who need credits for their continuing education requirements.
We also support local tree care workers with frequent dinner meetings. In addition to a nice meal, our members network with other LTEs and share the latest developments in tree care.
